-We Art Lab — Training, Masterclasses & Residencies
Program Overview
We Art Lab is the educational and professional development arm of We Art Foundation. It offers a dynamic space for continuous training, artistic growth, and experimentation through regular classes, intensive seminars, masterclasses, residencies, and creative labs.
This program is designed to support actors, writers, directors, and multidisciplinary artists by providing high-quality instruction, professional exposure, and meaningful industry connections. It emphasizes accessibility, diversity, and real-world application, blending rigorous training with performance and networking opportunities.
Core Program Components
We Art Lab hosts weekly acting classes in Miami, led by experienced instructors and grounded in a methodology that combines technique, creative play, and personal exploration. These classes serve as a continuous development platform for both emerging and professional actors.
We Art Lab has led intensive workshops in Miami, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, and Montevideo, including successful Meisner Technique seminars that focus on deepening presence, connection, and truthful performance. These spaces are designed for focused immersion and rapid artistic growth.
Examples include our Summer Acting Intensive at Koubek Center – Miami Dade College, combining technique, text work, and ensemble creation. These labs are ideal for concentrated artistic development in a short timeframe.
We collaborate with academic and cultural institutions to offer Masterclasses led by guest artists and educators, covering voice, camera acting, text analysis, and audition techniques. Recent partnerships include Barry University, with masterclasses open to both students and the wider community.
Our Production & Performance Labs allow participants to train while actively creating a final piece. These workshops culminate in public showcases, giving actors not only tools but also visibility and stage experience.
We Art Lab supports emerging playwrights and screenwriters with creative writing workshops, dramaturgy sessions, and staged readings. These labs foster original voices and develop new content for future productions.
We regularly host free public conversations with producers, writers, and directors, creating a space for professional learning, mentorship, and connection. These open events are designed to democratize access to the industry and build community.
