We Art Stage — Theater Production & Touring Program Overview

We Art Stage — Theater Production & Touring

Program Overview

We Art Stage is We Art Foundation’s program dedicated to theatrical production and touring. Its mission is to develop high-quality, socially relevant stage works that can travel beyond their point of origin—amplifying impact, building community through live performance, and creating professional opportunities for artists.
This program supports a full theatrical cycle: from creation and rehearsal, to presentation, post-show discussions, and regional, national, or international touring. It prioritizes productions with educational or civic value and includes activities such as artist talks, pedagogical materials, and community engagement.

Program Components
  • In-house production of original or co-created works with diverse artists and collaborators.
  • Performances in Miami at theaters, museums, universities, and cultural centers.
  • Local, interstate, and international tours to expand artistic reach and audience access.
  • Post-show conversations and audience development efforts, particularly with students and underserved communities.
  • Partnerships with festivals, embassies, schools, and community venues.

Flagship Projects

  • “El Huevo” (The Egg)
Produced in Miami, this play began touring in 2024 with successful runs in Argentina, including performances in Buenos Aires (Teatro Regina) and Tucumán (Sala Oreste Caviglia). The production has received strong public and critical acclaim and has become a powerful vehicle for cultural exchange between North and South America.
  •
  • Brisk Festival (Los Angeles)
Works developed in Miami through We Art Stage were selected for the international Brisk Festival in Los Angeles, offering exposure to a new audience and competitive artistic environment.
  • Cross-Cultural Collaboration: “Amiga Se Renta”
A co-production between artists from Miami and Spain, Amiga Se Renta was presented in Los Angeles, exemplifying the spirit of We Art Stage: building bridges between artists, languages, and audiences.

Why It Matters

We Art Stage is not just about presenting theater—it’s about opening doors. The program creates real opportunities for Miami-based artists to expand their work beyond Florida, whether to other U.S. states or abroad. Through touring, partnerships, and co-productions, we enable artists, writers, and directors to share their voices, connect with new audiences, and grow their practice in dialogue with other cultures.

The program promotes:

  • Artistic exchange and multilingual collaboration
  • Interdisciplinary creation across borders
  • Exposure to international stages and festivals
  • Cultural diplomacy through performing arts
  • Community connection and educational outreach through live theater
